The expansion forms part of ShinWon’s efforts to enhance supply chain transparency and accuracy, focusing on the movement of products from production through to shipment.

The company’s proprietary RFID Tunnel System employs high-performance radio-frequency identification (RFID) readers integrated with ShinWon’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES). As items pass through the tunnel, the system automatically verifies their quantities.

The technology uses AI to recognise packaging information and cross-check tag data in real time, generating packing lists, and helping to reduce errors in packaging.

ShinWon smart engineering team manager Peter Lee said: “The global expansion of our RFID Tunnel System marks a significant milestone in driving digital transformation across the fashion manufacturing industry.

“By enhancing supply chain transparency and transforming inventory management, ShinWon is strengthening partnerships with global clients while contributing to a more sustainable fashion ecosystem.”

ShinWon has reported operational improvements after deploying the RFID Tunnel System at its subsidiary, PT. Fashion Stitch Joshua, in Indonesia.

The system is said to increase inspection efficiency by about 32%, enabling the factory to check 1,740 cartons per day, which is equivalent to around 30,000 garments daily.

During multi-line inspections, it can process up to 2,500 cartons at once.

ShinWon expects the wider implementation of this system will improve packaging accuracy across its operations and strengthen confidence among its international buyers.

The company also seeks to achieve “Zero Claim” status by stabilising quality through data-driven operational excellence.

Once fully implemented across all subsidiaries, the company will be able to monitor and validate every stage of its supply chain in real time, from packaging through to shipment.

In addition, the company is working on integrating RFID with Universal Product Code (UPC) technologies to build and test an end-to-end traceability system.

This system will cover all phases of its supply chain, including the sourcing of raw cotton, fabric production, garment manufacturing, and worldwide distribution.

The company has plans for full deployment of this traceability system.

In addition to these measures, ShinWon is applying AI-driven predictive production management tools and sustainable logistics optimisation solutions across its operations.

To ensure compliance among suppliers, ShinWon has adopted a blockchain-based traceability platform for systematic monitoring of ethical standards.
